It's Christmas in July! Join us as Marilyn shares instructions for making an easy Christmas block. Bring your Christmas scraps and a few additional supplies to create one, or multiple blocks for a wall hanging, table runner, or small quilt.
Marilyn has shared the supply list below to make one block: Bring extra fabric to make additional blocks.
1) 4 pieces @ 4 1/2" X 6 1/2" of white or ivory.
2) 1 piece @ 2 1/2" square of a Christmas focal fabric. Your focal fabric can be the same for every block. (A small repetitive motif works best)
3) 1 strip @ 3" X 12" or longer of Christmas fabric (Different from the focal fabric).
4) Thread appropriate for the fabric.
Mix up the Christmas fabrics. Each block only needs a 3 X 12 strip. Also, I've used 5 different whites and ivory fabrics for my blocks. One type of fabric for each block.
Bring whatever sewing items you need. A small mat and rotary cutter is needed, but a couple of small mats will also be available.
