The ASG Houston stash committee met this week to process the existing stash in the storage shed. The result was 50 boxes of fabric.

Camp Allen will be the site of our annual spring retreat 03/30 – 04/02. Along with comfortable sewing facilities, great food and friends there will be a stash sale with fabric for the ‘discerning’ sewist. See ya there ! On the first Saturday of this month 33 sewists showed up at St. Paul’ United Methodist Church to help sew hats and mittens for the homeless of Houston. It was a Community Service project sponsored by the Inside the Loop Neighborhood Group.
The luncheon was another great event at the India House. There were 47 attendees which included guests. The speaker was Dr.Beverly Kemp-Gatterson who holds a Ph.D. in Apparel, Merchandising, and Design from Iowa State. She has taught at UH and the Art Institute of Houston. She has been a department store buyer and merchandise planner. …
Beautiful Camp Allen was again the host for our chapter retreat. Our group of 20 spent a glorious four days sewing, dining and enjoying the beauty of Camp Allen and camaraderie of friends.
