The Wild Women Stitchers NG started the new year with our January meeting. The group was given instructions on making purses for the Sew Powerful project. Kits had been obtained from Sew Special Quilts and the group began their purses. We did not finish this so it was our program again in February. At the February meeting we celebrated the Wild Women Stitcher’s 13th birthday. This is a milestone to many of us and we all congratulated our NG leader for keeping us together. We have made many wonderful friends and faced many trials through our 13 year journey together.
Our group was scheduled to meet in March for a lesson in fitting and making pajama pants, led by one of our members. As everyone knows, all meetings have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As sewists, many of us took up the challenge of making face masks to help the medical community and individuals protect themselves and others.
