The luncheon was another great event at the India House. There were 47 attendees which included guests. The speaker was Dr.Beverly Kemp-Gatterson who holds a Ph.D. in Apparel, Merchandising, and Design from Iowa State. She has taught at UH and the Art Institute of Houston. She has been a department store buyer and merchandise planner. Her presentation covered the amazing Couture designers from history including Coco Channel and had some interesting tales to tell about Coco.
The stash sale was a great success a large stash of beautiful fabrics along with various notions, books and patterns. There were two vintage Singer sewing machines offered for sale which did not sell. Look for these items on the For Sale page here.
